A CHESTER, ILLINOIS MAN WAS RECENTLY ARRESTED AND CHARGED FOR CRIMES AGAINST AT LEAST ONE MINOR. WHEN HIS MUGSHOT WAS SHARED, WITH THE CHARGES INCLUDED, SEVERAL OTHER YOUNG LADIES CAME FORWARD AND TOLD THEIR STORIES. (PHOTO).

 A Chester, Illinois man was recently arrested and charged for crimes against  at least one minor. When his mugshot was shared, with the charges included, several other young ladies came forward and told their stories.  Joshua Addison, 37-years-old, was arrested and charged on September 25th for incidents that happened approximately May, 13th of this year. He is currently in the Randolph County Jail.  When the news broke, several (at least 6) females shared screenshots and stories alleging Addison had sent them inappropriate messages. One individual shared a screenshot exhibiting that she confronted Addison and reminded him they were cousins. In that same exchange, the young lady asked if Addison knew her age.  AGULERI–UMUOBA ANAM CRISIS: CP NNANNA LEADS TOP GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS, SECURITY STAKEHOLDERS ON ON-THE-SPOT ASSESSMENT TO SUSTAIN SAFETY AND MAINTAIN LAW AND ORDER IN THE AREA


The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, psc, mnips, today, 2nd October 2026, led the Governor’s representative, His Excellency, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Deputy Governor of Anambra State, alongside other top government officials, security agencies and critical stakeholders, on an on-the-spot assessment of the crisis-affected areas of Aguleri and Umuoba Anam communities.


The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to stabilise the situation, safeguard lives and property, and maintain law and order in the affected areas.


The assessment provided the Commissioner of Police and other stakeholders with a first-hand understanding of the security situation on the ground. The delegation also confirmed the fatal injury sustained by a victim, assessed the extent of property destruction, and reviewed the impact of the crisis on residents and the affected communities.


The visit further enabled the stakeholders to identify immediate and sustainable measures aimed at restoring and sustaining peace, strengthening security, and preventing further escalation of the situation.


The Commissioner of Police reiterated the commitment of the Anambra State Police Command to maintaining law and order, protecting the lives and property of citizens, and ensuring that residents are able to go about their legitimate activities without fear.


CP Nnanna Oji Ama further called on the people of Aguleri and Umuoba Anam to remain calm, refrain from actions capable of escalating the situation, and cooperate with the Police and other security agencies by providing credible and timely information that could assist ongoing security operations and peace-building efforts.


In a similar vein, the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, urged traditional rulers, community leaders, youth organisations, town unions and other stakeholders to work collaboratively with the government and security agencies towards achieving lasting peace in the area. He reiterated that security is a shared responsibility requiring the cooperation and commitment of all stakeholders.


The Command assures residents of Aguleri and Umuoba Anam that appropriate security measures are being emplaced to stabilise the affected areas and prevent further breaches of peace, while efforts are ongoing to address the underlying issues through dialogue and other lawful channels.
