Putin woos African leaders at showcase summit, says Russia is better partner than 'colonial' West President Vladimir Putin told African leaders on Wednesday that Russia was their best partner, accusing what he cast as a colonial West of still trying ‌to exploit the continent's resources and using debt to hold back development, Reuters reported. The Kremlin chief was speaking at the third Russia-Africa Summit in Moscow, a two-day event attended by African leaders and government delegations from 48 countries, during which he will hold one-on-one talks with many of the 22 individual African leaders attending on everything from trade to security, arms deals and grain supplies.  Femi Adebayo Fans Defend Nollywood Star After Critics Question Source of Wealth for New N40bn Movie Hub

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo has found himself at the center of social media debates following the grand launch of his state-of-the-art creative facility, the Euphoria 360 Hub, in Lagos. While many celebrated the massive achievement, online skeptics quickly raised questions regarding the funding of the multi-billion Naira project, prompting a swift defense from his loyal supporters.

The Multi-Billion Naira Euphoria 360 Hub Launch

On October 6, 2026, Adebayo officially commissioned the Euphoria 360 Hub, located in Oregun, Lagos. The massive facility serves as the headquarters for Euphoria360 Media Limited. Valued at an estimated 40 billion Naira, the complex features cinema-grade production studios, advanced post-production suites for editing and color grading, music video sets, and the Euphoria360 Film Academy.

The grand opening attracted prominent political and entertainment figures. Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat performed the official commissioning, while industry heavyweights like Odunlade Adekola, Kunle Afolayan, and Ramsey Nouah attended to show solidarity. Femi's veteran actor father, Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, was visibly emotional during the historic event. Notably, the hub had already hosted its first major project prior to the launch, serving as the primary filming location for Davido's B4 B4 music video.

Skeptics Raise Questions Online

The controversy began when a social media user posted a video tour of the venue, originally recorded by popular content creator Ola of Lagos. The user questioned how low-budget Yoruba films could generate enough revenue to construct such an expensive complex, jokingly wondering if there was a hidden update behind the actor's financial success.

Fans and Supporters Rally Behind Femi Adebayo

In response to the skepticism, Adebayo's fans and industry supporters immediately shut down the insinuations. They highlighted his long-standing career spanning several decades as a top-tier actor, director, producer, and entrepreneur. Supporters emphasized his persistent efforts against film piracy, his highly successful cinematic releases, and his strategic decision to invest in urban production infrastructure rather than traditional rural film setups.

• Decades of Dedication: Fans pointed out that Adebayo has been a leading figure in the Nigerian film industry for over twenty-five years.

• High-Grossing Projects: Supporters noted his box office hits which have generated hundreds of millions of Naira in recent years.

• Business Acumen: His deliberate transition into media entrepreneurship and corporate partnerships has solidified his financial standing.

Many fans concluded that the questioning of his wealth stems from a lack of understanding of the commercial potential of modern Nollywood, urging critics to celebrate local industry growth rather than casting doubts.
