 ‘Nothing to show after 24 years in power’, Wike knocks Amaechi Minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Nyesom Wike, has said his predecessor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has nothing to show for 24 years as Speaker, Governor and Minister. He challenged the people of Evo Kingdom in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State to point to any tangible development or political empowerment Amaechi attracted to their land. According to a statement on Friday night by Lere Olayinka, his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, the minister spoke at an interactive session with leaders and stakeholders of Evo Kingdom. “Someone was Speaker of the House of Assembly for eight years, Governor for eight years, and Minister for eight years, that is 24 years in top leadership positions! What can anybody point to that he attracted to Evo Kingdom or Rivers State in all those 24 years? Nothing! Not one single thing!” Wike said. He drew a contrast with his own record...

 FRSC CONFIRMS 20 DEATHS IN KIBO–JOS ROAD CRASH


the Federal Road Safety Corps, frsc, has confirmed the death of 20 people in a multiple road traffic crash along the hawan kibo–jos route in Plateau State.


the crash occurred on friday, 2 october 2026, and involved 25 people.


A statement by the Corps Public Education Officer, osondu ohaeri, the frsc indicates that brake failure and subsequent loss of control may have caused the crash.


Reacting to the incident, the Corps myarshal, shehu mohammed, urged motorists, particularly operators of commercial and heavy-duty vehicles, to prioritise vehicle roadworthiness, proper maintenance, speed management, and responsible driving.


The statement also reiterates the importance of ensuring that vehicles are in safe operating condition before being put on the road.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
