Governor Soludo Son Ozonna Sparks Mixed Reactions With Surprise Abuja Performance

Ozonna Soludo, the musician son of Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo, has sparked a wave of reactions online following a surprise live performance in the nation's capital, Abuja.

The young artist took the stage at a Culture Fest held at the Abuja Lounge to mark Nigeria's Independence Day celebrations on Sunday, October 4, 2026. The unannounced appearance caught many fans by surprise, as they had no prior warning of his scheduled performance at the Federal Capital Territory event.

Mixed Reactions Trail Ozonna's Vocal Delivery

While the Independence Day setting provided a symbolic backdrop for his appearance, social media users quickly shared their opinions on his stage presence and singing. Clips from the performance began circulating on Instagram, leading to a variety of comments regarding his vocal delivery and musical style.

Some viewers questioned his performance techniques, while others defended his unique approach to art. Ozonna, who is known for his distinct fusion of music and dance, has always maintained a bold identity despite public scrutiny.

Unapologetically Himself

This is not the first time the budding singer has captured the attention of the public. He previously made headlines after debuting a new look featuring blonde braids, moving away from his signature blonde afro. Despite receiving some backlash for his style and music, Ozonna remains undeterred.

In a previous interview, the artist stated that anyone who is highly visible and confident is bound to face criticism. He made it clear that despite any negative reactions from the public, he intends to stay true to himself and continue pursuing his creative passions without compromise.
