Gehgeh Challenges VeryDarkMan: Accuses Activist of Targeting Davido Over Burna Boy Friendship and Political Stance Social media personality Gehgeh has publicly confronted activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), accusing him of treating music star Davido as an adversary due to his close ties with fellow artist Burna Boy. Gehgeh also questioned VDM's alleged threat to “wash down” Davido if the singer continued to comment on Nigerian politics. In a recent video, Gehgeh advised VeryDarkMan to cease his perceived attacks on Davido regarding his political affiliations. He argued that Davido, like any other Nigerian citizen, possesses the fundamental right to support any political candidate of his choice without facing intimidation.  Mayorkun Warns Emerging Artists: Build Your Brand Before Adopting Wizkid's Mystique

Nigerian music sensation Mayorkun has issued a clear warning to aspiring musicians, urging them to resist the temptation of adopting a reclusive public image, akin to that of Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, before firmly establishing their presence in the industry.

The Peril of Premature Privacy

The acclaimed singer emphasized the critical importance for emerging artists to prioritize career development and cultivate genuine connections with their audience. According to Mayorkun, attempting to emulate the enigmatic approach of established figures like Wizkid prematurely could inadvertently lead to a newcomer's swift disappearance from the spotlight.

“Trying to maintain a mysterious image like Wizkid as a newcomer could cause you to fade into obscurity,” Mayorkun reportedly stated, underscoring the potential pitfalls of such a strategy. He advised that visibility and building a loyal fan base are crucial first steps, suggesting that a more private persona should only be considered once an artist has garnered significant traction and recognition.

Wizkid's Established Persona

Wizkid, widely recognized as one of Nigeria's most influential Afrobeats icons, is renowned for his largely private lifestyle. He maintains a limited public profile, making appearances primarily for music-related engagements. This deliberate approach to public interaction has become a hallmark of his superstardom, a level of prominence Mayorkun believes newer acts must earn before adopting similar strategies.

Mayorkun's counsel serves as a practical guide for the next generation of musical talent, stressing the need for strategic career building over immediate imitation of industry giants.
