The Ogun State Government, under the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun, CON, continues to record steady progress on ongoing road infrastructure works along the Akute–Agbado axis, with construction activities advancing simultaneously at different sections of the corridor.
Asphalt laying of the wearing course is currently progressing towards the Abule Ekun Bridge at Chainage 4+800, coming from the Akute axis.
At Chainage 5+800, construction of a 1.5m × 1.5m culvert is also ongoing to provide adequate drainage and ensure the durability of the road infrastructure.
Further along the corridor at Agbado, around Chainage 7+500, unsuitable materials are being excavated and removed, with good laterite material being used as replacement to strengthen the road foundation ahead of subsequent stages of construction.
The simultaneous execution of these critical components demonstrates the commitment of the Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration to delivering durable road infrastructure, improving connectivity and easing movement for residents, businesses and motorists along the corridor.
Work continues across the various sections as the Ogun State Government pushes forward with the project.
