Discovery, bringing two major Hollywood studios and a sprawling collection of entertainment, streaming and news brands under one company. The deal closed Tuesday, October 6, creating a combined company called Skydance. Warner Bros., HBO and HBO Max now share ownership with Paramount Pictures, Paramount+, CBS and other brands, with David Ellison and co-CEO Ynon Kreiz leading the expanded media business.

The $110 billion deal includes debt; its equity value is approximately $81 billion, with shareholders receiving $31 per share.

HBO Max and Paramount+ now share ownership, but that does not automatically combine their apps or subscriptions.
