Prince Harry and Meghan Markle not spending Christmas with royal family as feud rages on.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle won't be spending Christmas with the royal family this year as tension with Harry's relatives continues.
A source exclusively told Page Six that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have no plans to join King Charles III, Prince William and the rest of the family for traditional Christmas celebrations at Sandringham.
A palace insider said there is a hierarchy and the King is the CEO and boss, so what he says goes, and it's better not to put themselves in any difficult position.
Instead the couple is considering spending the holidays at their cottage in Northamptonshire, England or returning to California, with Meghan's mom Doria Ragland expected to join them regardless.
The decision comes amid the ongoing rift, with Harry, 42, and William still not on speaking terms despite reports they are spending more time in the UK. Experts recently dismissed reports that Harry, 45, and Meghan were planning to apologize to William and Kate Middleton to end their feud.
The strain has been documented since they stepped down as senior royals in 2020 and moved to California, later airing grievances in their 2022 Netflix series Harry & Meghan and Harry's 2023 memoir Spare.
Page Six confirmed in August they returned to the UK with Archie and Lilibet for an extended period, six years after Megxit, and are reportedly looking to establish a more permanent base there.
