England Captain Harry Kane Signs New Bayern Munich Contract Until 2029
England captain and Ballon d'Or winner Harry Kane has signed a new contract to commit his future to Bayern Munich until June 30, 2029.
The 33-year-old striker was in the final 12 months of the four-year deal he signed after his £86m move from Tottenham in 2023.
He has scored 156 goals in 161 appearances in all competitions for Bayern and won two Bundesliga titles, the DFB Cup and two German Super Cups.
"I feel right at home at FC Bayern," Kane said. "I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich. We have a fantastic team and, in Vincent Kompany, a fantastic manager. It makes me very proud to be part of this club. My whole family is very happy here. I was keen to stay. I'm now looking forward to the future and I want to win many more titles with this great club."
Bayern did not disclose financial details, but German media reports suggest it is the most lucrative contract in the club's history, with a weekly wage in excess of £400,000, making him the highest-paid player in Europe.
The deal comes just a week after Kane won the Ballon d'Or, becoming the first Englishman in 25 years and the first Bundesliga player in 30 years to win football's top individual prize.
