AAC SEEK FURTHER INVESTIGATION INTO ON SOWORE IN EKITI The African Action Congress, AAC, has called for further investigation into the reported attack on Omoyele Sowore and other party members in Ekiti State, despite the arrest of eleven suspects. In a statement by its national publicity secretary, Rex Elanu, the AAC says new video footage has emerged which it believes could help identify more persons involved in the incident. The party has expressed concern over the handling of CCTV recordings from the restaurant where the incident occurred, and alleges that some stolen phones were traced to the governor's lodge in Ekiti State. It is seeking an independent investigation into these claims, the handling of recovered items and the circumstances surrounding the incident. The AAC has also called for the arrest and prosecution of any other persons found to have been involved, and demanded an investigation into the conduct of any security officers who may have acted unprofessionally.

Fired White House press secretary Katie Zacharia blasted by critics for sharing Halloween guide to look like her: 'You had your 15 minutes'

Katie Zacharia is facing criticism online after sharing a tongue-in-cheek Halloween costume suggestion based on her own style.

The former White House press secretary posted details about the outfit on social media, listing designer clothing and accessories while jokingly encouraging fans to dress up as her for Halloween.

The post quickly gained attention, with many users reacting to both the costume idea and the luxury fashion items she highlighted.

While some followers viewed the post as lighthearted fun, others were less impressed and voiced their opinions across social media. Critics questioned the timing and tone of the costume suggestion, pointing to her brief and widely discussed stint as White House press secretary.

The debate soon expanded into broader discussions about public image, social media branding, and the role of former political figures in the spotlight.

Despite the backlash, Zacharia appeared to take the controversy in stride, later saying she found the idea of people dressing up as her amusing.

The former communications professional has remained active in the public conversation since leaving the White House, and her latest social media post once again sparked strong reactions from both supporters and critics.

As Halloween celebrations continue, the discussion has become another example of how even playful online posts can quickly become a trending topic.
