    A 16-year-old Indiana teen has been sentenced to 54 years in prison for the deplorable acts he did to a voiceless 7-year-old boy on the school bus.  16-year-old Landon Doty's campaign of perversion towards a non-verbal 7-year-old boy with special needs came to an abrupt end in April 2025. The weeks-long s***** a**** was halted on April 16th, 2025, when the bus driver noticed the child sitting on Landon's lap. The driver stopped the bus, and a bus monitor went to investigate why the seven year old was on the teenager's lap.  In fact, the bus was for special needs students only. Landon was on the bus for "punishment" because he kept tearing up his regular busses seat. Landon does not have any special needs.  When Landon (who was 15 at the time) realized he was under suspicion, he quickly shoved the child off of his lap.  The monitor later testified to not being able to determine what had been going on but felt like Landon was trying to hide something....

 Sandra Bullock reveals she slept on Dolly Parton’s tour bus while filming Miss Congeniality 2 Sandra Bullock has recalled the unusual experience of sharing a tour bus with Dolly Parton while filming Miss Congeniality 2. Bullock, 62, told PEOPLE at the Practical Magic 2 premiere in London on Wednesday, Aug. 26, that Parton chose to stay on her pink tour bus rather than use a hotel room during a trip to Las Vegas for the 2005 comedy. “I said, ‘Okay, So, Miss Parton, we’ve got a hotel and room for you that’s massive.’ And she goes, ‘No, I’ll stay in the bus,’” Bullock recalled. When Bullock asked where Parton would do her hair and makeup, the country music icon replied, “Oh, I’ll do it on the bus.” Parton also planned to sleep on the bus, leading Bullock to decide, “Then I’m sleeping on the bus.” “So she and I slept side-by-side on the bus,” Bullock said, remembering the time she spent with Parton, who died on Aug. 25 at age 80 after a brief battle with cancer.  INEC to Display Candidate Lists for 2027 Governorship and Assembly Elections on Saturday The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will on Saturday, August 29, publish the lists of candidates nominated by political parties for the February 6, 2027, governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections. Governorship elections will be held in 28 states, while state Houses of Assembly polls will take place in all 36 states of the federation. According to the electoral timetable, governorship elections are scheduled in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Delta, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, Kwara, Benue, Plateau, Niger, Nasarawa, Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Taraba, Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Zamfara, Kebbi and Sokoto states. No governorship elections will be conducted in Ondo, Osun, Ekiti, Edo, Bayelsa, Anambra, Imo and Kogi states, where polls were held at different times under the staggered electoral cycle.  EFCC Arraigns Man  for Alleged N13.6m Property Fraud In Ibadan The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Directorate, on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 arraigned a man,   Yusuf Ademola Oyepeju before Justice Olusola Adetujoye of the Oyo State High Court, Ibadan, Oyo State. Oyepeju, alongside his two companies, Alwajeez International Nigeria Limited and AIN Homes and Property Limited were arraigned on a six-count charge bordering on forgery, uttering of documents, stealing by conversion and obtaining money under false pretence to the tune of N13, 697, 900.00 (Thirteen Million, Six Hundred and Ninety-seven Thousand, Nine Hundred Naira). The charges alleged that Oyepeju defrauded an Islamic cleric,  a Dubai-based Nigerian, Fasasi Amidu Bayonle of his monies and properties, whom he met on a Whatsapp group created for Muslims and for spreading Islamic teachings, as both were tutors on the Whatsapp group.  NORTHERN SENATORS FORUM CONDEMNS FRIDAY'S TERRORISTS ATTACK IN NIGER STATE  The Northern Senators Forum has condemned last Friday's terrorist attack in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State during which gunmen abducted hundreds of worshippers at Kpenya Mosque after Jumat prayers. In a statement by the Chairman  Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar'Adua describes the security breach  which also occured in gidan Zana and Kpenya villages, as barbaric. The forum calls on the Nigerian Armed Forces, Police and DSS to intensify rescue operations for the safe release of all abductees. The Forum also urges the Federal Government to send urgent relief and strengthen security in Borgu and other border communities.
