NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. Yesterday the Chief of Defence Staff Air Marshal Alex Badeh said ''The good news for the parents of the girls is that we know where they are but cannot tell you.But where they are held,can we go there with force?.We can't kill our girls in the name of trying to get them back''.I question the fact that the military know where they are and if they do and they can't rescue them,why are they telling us?.Don't you think the military in the process of being transparent with their operations is giving out too much information?.With these new information about the location of the girls,don't you think they have put Boko Haram on notice and making boko haram more prepared for them than ever and even putting the Chibok missing girls in more danger.Please i will like the military in charge of these information to be more discreet with information.
