 In a first for Indian Railways, an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) has been successfully tested inside a train coach.  The trial took place on Tuesday inside an air-conditioned coach of the Panchavati Express, which runs daily between Manmad in Nashik and Mumbai. This ATM facility is part of a joint effort by the Bhusawal division of Indian Railways and the Bank of Maharashtra. The ATM worked smoothly during the journey, with only minor interruptions when the train passed through the no-network zone between Igatpuri and Kasara, an area known for its tunnels. Despite the short signal losses, the ATM continued to function well and served its purpose. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared a video of the ATM on social media, calling it the first of its kind in India. This unique idea came from a meeting under the Innovative and Non-Fare Revenue Ideas Scheme (INFRIS) by the Bhusawal division. OSCAR PISTORIUS TO UNDERGO MENTAL EVALUATION.

REUTERS/Daniel Born/Pool             According to sources,the South African court today wednesday ordered Oscar Pistorius to undergo evaluation for mental illness,a move which could determine whether he lacked criminal capacity when he shot dead his girlfriend.The prosecution had asked for the evaluation after a Psychiatrist told the court on monday that Pistorius who is on trial for murder of Reeva Steen Kamp on February 14,2013,suffered from an anxiety disorder.The prosecutor has argued he wanted to prevent Oscar from later appealing on the basis of a disturbed mental condition {smart move}.The Defence lawyer Barry Roux had argued against the motion,saying it was premature to have the evaluation before he called other witnesses,but the Judge ruled that a mental assessment would ensure that Oscar Pistorius gets a fair trial,adding that she thought it strange that the Defence had opposed the motion.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
