 Isa Ashiru Denies Blaming El-Rufai For Insecurity In Kaduna The Kaduna State governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rt. Hon. Isa Mohammed Ashiru, has denied reports suggesting that he blamed former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, for the worsening insecurity in the state. In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Abdulwaheed Olayinka Adubi, Ashiru described the report as misleading and a misrepresentation of his position.  He explained that his remarks during a television interview had been taken out of context and presented in a way that did not accurately reflect his comments. Ashiru insisted that the report did not correctly represent his views regarding the former governor or the security challenges facing Kaduna State. He expressed confidence that appropriate steps would be taken to ensure the published report reflected the actual content and context of the interview. OSCAR PISTORIUS TO UNDERGO MENTAL EVALUATION.

REUTERS/Daniel Born/Pool             According to sources,the South African court today wednesday ordered Oscar Pistorius to undergo evaluation for mental illness,a move which could determine whether he lacked criminal capacity when he shot dead his girlfriend.The prosecution had asked for the evaluation after a Psychiatrist told the court on monday that Pistorius who is on trial for murder of Reeva Steen Kamp on February 14,2013,suffered from an anxiety disorder.The prosecutor has argued he wanted to prevent Oscar from later appealing on the basis of a disturbed mental condition {smart move}.The Defence lawyer Barry Roux had argued against the motion,saying it was premature to have the evaluation before he called other witnesses,but the Judge ruled that a mental assessment would ensure that Oscar Pistorius gets a fair trial,adding that she thought it strange that the Defence had opposed the motion.
