 “SENATOR OLUREMI TINUBU PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRE REMAINS GOVERNMENT-FUNDED FACILITY” - LASG The Lagos State Government on Thursday reiterated that the recently reconstructed Senator Oluremi Tinubu (SOT) Primary Health Centre (PHC) remains a government-funded facility.  Speaking with the media after a monitoring tour of the facility situated at Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke, stated that the facility was renovated to ensure that world-class medical services are accessible to residents in the community.  "The facility is still funded by the Lagos State government and was renovated to improve access to high-quality healthcare service delivery in the community. I HAVE BEEN LIVING WITH SICKLE CELL FOR OVER 50 YEARS-TOYIN ADESOLA.

                                                    Toyin Adeshola is the founder of Sickle Cell Advocacy  Management Initiative,an NGO that was established five years ago and she received an award today 27th September from Ambassador charity awards 2014 at Oriental Hotels Lekki for her Humanitarian works towards sickle cell patients.I will not lie i have never met a person living with sickle cell before and she gave me an insight of the day today life style of a person living with sickle cell.She said she had been to over 100 hospital and the life style of a person living with sickle cell is very painful.She said sickle cell cell is a blood disorder,inherited from the Genotype from both parents especially if there is ''S'' in both parents genotype.She said her NGO helps those children that are living with sickle cell,go through their difficult stages as they progress in life.She said she has been living with sickle cell for over 50 years now and she gave God all the glory saying ''I still thank God for all what i went through,it is my faith in God that made me leave up to 50 years''.She is strongly advicing men and women in a relationship to go check their genotype before they get married and they should not confuse blood group with genotype.She said if you are living with sickle cell,and you need help on how to leave through it,you should contact her on 08098007264 or email her to info@sami-nig.com.One more picture below.
