 El-Rufai’s Family Protests SSS Detention, Alleges Torture, Medical Neglect Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai has continued to face controversy over his detention, as members of his family and supporters staged a protest in Abuja on Monday over his custody by the State Security Service (SSS). The demonstrators, which included Senator Lawal Adamu and close relatives of the former governor, accused security authorities of subjecting him to psychological pressure and denying him access to medical care despite existing court directives. Speaking outside the SSS facility, El-Rufai’s second wife, Asia, said the family had been living under fear due to what she described as persistent surveillance and security intimidation connected to the case. JULIUS BERGER KIDNAPPED GERMAN NATIONAL,FREED ATLAST TODAY.

                    According to Julius Berger construction firm,said today thursday that ''Julius Berger Nigeria PLC is pleased to officially announce the release of the company's member of staff,who was abducted in Ogun state on the 24th of October 2014.The company would like to thank all those who assisted in achieving a swift and safe release,especially government authorities and security services''.According to the Ogun state police spokes man Abimbola Oyeyemi said ''The hostage was rescued on thursday but the services have previously claimed successful rescue operations even when ransoms were paid''.The company provided no details on the releases but said last week that the employee was kidnapped in an attack which left another German national dead.Four gunmen emerged from the bush and opened fire on two vehicles in which the two men were travelling.The employee who died,a sub-contractor,died in hospital from a bullet wound while two other staff members were hurt.Julius Berger confirmed that the group was moving in separate vehicles without security escort to a quarry in Ogun state.
