Kaduna businessman drags ex fiancee’s father to court, demands dowry refund A businessman, Nasiru Dayyabu, on Wednesday, dragged the father of his ex-fiance, Mallam Sani Direba, to Shari’a Court II sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna over N260,000 dowry. The complainant had joined Direba in the suit against two brothers demanding a refund of N250, 000 dowry and N10,000 introduction money he paid to marry his daughter. Represented by his counsel, Mr Sani Sunusi, the complainant told the court that he sent his people from Karaye, Kano State to Kaduna in 2025, to seek for the defendant’s daughter’s hand in marriage. “We paid the dowry and the introduction money (kudin gausuwa) and were waiting for them to set a date for the wedding,” he said. “Unfortunately, the lady’s father called to inform us that they have cancelled the marriage.” The counsel said the complainant had asked for the refund of his money since Sept. 2025 but all the efforts he made proved abortive. LAGOSIANS,ARE YOU READY FOR NO HORN DAY TOMORROW?

                                                                       Tomorrow is no horn day,and drivers are expected not to horn tomorrow the 15th of October 2014.Will these no horn day work in Lagos?,and how many of you have driven without a horn before?.My problem is that the roads are very bad,and if they are having no Horn day,they should also have a ''Good Road day ''too for government to know that the citizens needs good road,so that they will not be horning anyhow.If they are called Road safety,it should be all about ''Good Roads'' not Horn.They said their objective is to reduce  pollution on our roads,to cultivate respect for other road users,to maintain and encourage road discipline,to improve road use courtesy,to encourage positive road use attitude,to avoid the indiscriminate use of horn,to be a defensive driver,and to develop better road user friendly Lagosians.Users are to avoid the horn,avoid the use of siren,be patient,tolerant,courteous and road user friendly and obey traffic rules and regulations.One more picture below.
