 MODEL COLLEGES/UPGRADED JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS COMMENCE E-REGISTRATION FOR YEAR 2025 ENTRANCE EXAMINATION The Lagos State Government has commenced Year 2025 e-Registraton Entrance Examination (Screening Test) for primary 6 pupils transiting to junior secondary schools into its Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools.  The Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu confirmed that the e-Registration will commence on Thursday 6th February and ends on Friday, 16th May, 2025, adding that the Screening will be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT) only between Wednesday, 28th May and Friday, 30th May, 2025, at the various CBT designated centres across the State. Mr. Orunsolu stressed that qualified pupils from public and private Schools are to pay a sum of #10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira Only) for the Application. 2 ARMED ROBBERS ATTEMPTED TO ROB ECO BANK WERE SHOT DEAD BY THE POLICE IN PORT-HARCOURT.

The men shot dead by police             Yesterday wednesday,two persons suspected to be armed robbers who attempted to rob Eco bank branch by Agip junction along Ikwerre road in Port Harcourt,Rivers state were shot dead by policemen.The Rivers police command confirmed the shooting incident but did not give details,but eye witnesses said the driver of the vehicle that conveyed the suspected robbers managed to escape when the gang came under fire power from the policemen who got intelligence report of the suspected gang of robbers.Eye witnesses said ''All i heard was gunshots,the drive of the red car and the persons killed ran towards the school {Government Girls School,Rumueme} and escaped,one of them was shot dead instantly while another one who tried to escape was also shot dead''.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
