 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. HIV/AIDS PATIENTS,PROTESTED IN ABUJA FOR LACK OF ANTI-RETROVIRAL DRUGS.

                           Today monday,hundreds of HIV/AIDS positive patients stormed the Abuja office of the National Agency for Control of Aids {NACA},protested over lack of access to anti-retroviral drugs in hospitals and other care centres across the country.The protesters under the Network of people living with HIV/AIDS also protested over diminishing funding for HIV/AIDS programmes by international development partners as well as non-implementation of comprehensive response plan,a scheme launched by president Goodluck Jonathan to address the problems of access to anti-retroviral drugs.The protesters took the staff of NACA unawares as they had invade the NACA office before the official resumption hours early this morning.The protesters were armed with placards and some sleeping materials,indicating that they were determined to stay in the NACA office as long as necessary.The protesters took over the main entrance of the office of Professor John Doko,the Director General of NACA,there by stopping him and other workers from entering their offices.One more photo below.
