 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. A BAUCHI STATE TV JOURNALIST ALIYU,SLUMPED AND DIED YESTERDAY.

                 37 year old Mallam Ibrahim Aliyu,who is a Government House correspondent of the Bauchi state Television,was writing his report on the Armed Forces Remembrance Day,when he suddenly collapsed.He was rushed to the hospital,where he was confirmed dead.According to Mallam Kabiru Iiela,his cameraman,who witnessed the incident said that the late Aliyu had worked throughout the day and was compiling his report at about 5:30pm yesterday thursday,when he suddenly started jerking.''He had his meal by his side as he was writing the report,when his mood suddenly changed and he started jerking,collapsing in the process.We raised alarm and sought for help to convey him to the hospital.On reaching the Abubaka Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital,a doctor confirmed that he had died''.He left behind two wives,six children,an aged mother and four brothers.He was buried today in accordance with Islamic injunctions in Bauchi.May his soul rest in peace Amen.
