The Fanti Carnival in Lagos originated in the 19th century, brought by Afro-Brazilian returnees (known as the Aguda or Amaro) who settled on Lagos Island after returning from slavery in Brazil. It began in the 1880s, merging Brazilian Samba culture with local Yoruba traditions, often celebrated by Communities like Lafiaji and Campos.   "Today, I was at the Fanti Carnival at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island and it was a lively showcase of culture, with each group bringing its own colours, choreography and strong sense of identity. It was especially meaningful to see historic communities like Campos, Lafiaji, Okoo-Faji, Okepopo, Olowogbowo, Epetedo, and Isale-Eko come together, making the day even more memorable. From the coordinated parades to the music, dance, and vibrant displays by our young people, as well as the energy of the crowd, it was a rich blend of culture and creativity. PANAMA & OTHER COUNTRIES,PULLS OUT FROM THE MISS UNIVERSE CONTEST,AFTER DONALD TRUMPS ILL STATEMENT ON IMMIGRANTS.

               According to sources,Panama is joining several other Latin American nations in dropping out of the Miss Universe pageant in protest over Donald Trump's comments about Immigrants.he Miss Panama organisation and the Telemetro Television Channel say that this year they won't participate in or broadcast the Miss Universe contest patly owned by Donald Trump.They say the move is ''A message of Solidarity'' to Mexicans offended by Trump's recent description of Mexican migrants as rapists and as people who bring drugs and crime to the United States.Panama hosted the pageant in 19 86 and 2003.Contest organizers and Boadcasters in Costa Rica and Mexico also have pulled out of the event.Well Donald Trump should remember that his ancestors also came to United states from Europe and the Red Indians own's the American land before they were chased out,so who is a migrant here?,Trump or the Latinos?.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
