 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026. PRESIDENT BUHARI APPOINTS/DECORATES NEW IGP TODAY ''IBRAHIM KPOTUN IDRIS'' TO REPLACE 'ARASE'.{PHOTOS}

                    The assistant Inspector-General of Police Ibrahim Kpotun Idris was decorated today by Presidented Muhammadu Buhari to the new rank of Inspector General of Police.The new acting IGP,who is from Niger,was accompanied to President Muhammadu Buhari's office by the outgoing IGP,Solomon Arase.Speaking to State House correspondents after the decoration,Idris assured Nigerians that under his leader,the Nigeria Police Force would be governed by Internationally recognised core values of policing.According to him,his tenure will ensure strict compliance to issues of integrity,accountability and respect for diversity in the society.He said ''Obviously under our collective leadership,the Nigerian Police Force is going to be governed by internationally recognised core value of policing everywhere in the world.That is the issue of integrity and accountability,issue of respect for diversity,issue of compassion,issues of ensuring that our streets,our neighbourhoods,our communities remain safe.And we are going to do everything possible to ensure that we provide the best service for this country''.Also speaking to the correspondents,the out-going IGP Solomon Arase thanked Nigerians for their support and cooperation and urged them to extend the same to the incoming acting IGP.One more photo below.
