 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. The Assistant-Inspector General of Police Zone 2 Command, Lagos, AIG Ibrahim Adamu has reviewed the Orderly Room proceedings and approved the punishment of dismissal of AP. No. 136207 Inspector Charles Olusola Omotosho from the Nigeria Police Force with effect from 16.07.2018.Omotosho attached to SARS Ikorodu, Lagos State at the time was found guilty of Corrupt Practices and Discreditable Conduct contrary to Para. C (ii) and E (iii) of 1st Schedule of the Police Act and Regulations CAP. P19 LFN 2004.
Three other officers (names withheld) who accompanied Omotosho during the illegal act (click #PCRRU316356 for case details) were awarded punishment of reduction in rank from Sergeant to Corporal by the AIG.

All NPF items including uniforms and ID card have since been retrieved from the dismissed Inspector.
