 South Korean police seek arrest warrant for Hybe chairman Bang Si-Hyuk over alleged $100 million investor fraud scheme    South Korean police are seeking an arrest warrant for Bang Si-Hyuk, the billionaire music executive behind K-pop powerhouse Hybe and BTS, as part of an expanding investigation into allegations that he improperly benefited from an investor scheme involving more than $100 million. Authorities said they have asked prosecutors to pursue a court warrant for Bang’s arrest as they continue probing claims that he misled investors in 2019. Investigators allege he told investors that Hybe had no plans for an initial public offering, leading them to sell shares to a private equity fund. The company later went public, and police suspect a separate arrangement may have resulted in Bang receiving a substantial payout tied to post-IPO stock profits. The Assistant-Inspector General of Police Zone 2 Command, Lagos, AIG Ibrahim Adamu has reviewed the Orderly Room proceedings and approved the punishment of dismissal of AP. No. 136207 Inspector Charles Olusola Omotosho from the Nigeria Police Force with effect from 16.07.2018.Omotosho attached to SARS Ikorodu, Lagos State at the time was found guilty of Corrupt Practices and Discreditable Conduct contrary to Para. C (ii) and E (iii) of 1st Schedule of the Police Act and Regulations CAP. P19 LFN 2004.
Three other officers (names withheld) who accompanied Omotosho during the illegal act (click #PCRRU316356 for case details) were awarded punishment of reduction in rank from Sergeant to Corporal by the AIG.

All NPF items including uniforms and ID card have since been retrieved from the dismissed Inspector.
