 PRESIDENT  TINUBU APPOINTS NASIR NAEEM ABDULSALAM AS MD, AJAOKUTA STEEL COMPANY  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,  has approved the appointment of Nasir Naeem Abdulsalam as the Managing Director, Ajaokuta Steel Company. The appointment takes effect from 3rd April, 2025 and  is in accordance with the provisions of the Certain Political and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc) Act 2008 as amended.  Until his appointment, Nasir served as the Technical Adviser to the Honourable Minister of Steel Development as well as the Special Assistant (Academics) to Director General of National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) . READ THE OUTCOME OF THE NJC EMERGENCY MEETING TODAY ON JUSTICE ONNOGHEN & JUSTICE MUHAMMAD.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

       The National Judicial Council held an Emergency Meeting today and considered four (4} petitions filed at its Secretariat.The Petitions are:
1. Petition against Hon. Mr. Justice W.S.N. Onnoghen,GCON by Zikhrillahi Ibrahim of Resource Centre for Human Rights & Civil Education;
2. Petition against Hon. Mr. Justice Ib rahim Tanko Muhammad,CFR by Centre for Justice and Peace Initiative.
3. Petition against Hon.Mr Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad,CFR by Olisa Agbakoba,SAN,OON; and
4. Petition against Hon. Danladi Yakubu Umar,Chairman,Code of Conduct Tribunal by Centre for Justice and Peace Initiative.
Council referred the petition against Hon, Daladi Yakubu Umar to the Federal Judicial Service Commission {FJSC} which is the appropriate constitutional body empowered to deal with it.In line with its procedure,Council also forwarded the petitions against Hon. Justices W.S.N. Onnoghen,GCON and I. T. Muhammad,CFR to them for their responses.
In view of the gravity of the matters involved,Council abridged the usual response period from fourteen {14} to seven {7} working days for the Hon. Justices to respond.Hon. Mr Justice W.S.N. Onnoghen,GCON and Hon. Mr. Justice I.TA. Muhammad,CFR rescused themselves from the meeting. Consequently,Council elected Hon. Justice Umaru Abdullahi,CON,former President of the Court of Appeal as Interim Chairman to preside over the meeting
Council will reconvene on the 11th February,2019.

    However, the credibility to the claims comes via some dark and blurry photos.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
