 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. THE DUKE OF SUSSEX ATTENDED THE OPENING MATCH OF THE CRICKET WORLD CUP YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.

     'The first ever Cricket World Cup took place in England in 1975 and I'm delighted that the UK will once again play host to this wonderful global sporting event featuring ten incredible teams who, thanks to the UK’s cultural diversity, will feel as though they are competing in front of a home crowd every time they take to the field.'
Yesterday, The Duke of Sussex attended the opening match of the Cricket World Cup which featured England vs South Africa.
The ICC Cricket World Cup, which takes place from 30th May to 14th July, is being hosted by England and Wales and features the world’s top ten teams, nine of whom are from the Commonwealth.
Over one million people are expected to attend matches and World Cup activations in England and Wales, with a further 1.5 billion watching around the world.
Before the match began, The Duke met children involved in youth engagement programmes around the tournament including flag bearers, anthem children and students from a local school who will be involved in the opening sequences.More photos below.
