  INEC rejects petition to recall Senator Natasha, declares it inadequate The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has rejected the petition to recall the Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has not met the requirements. In a short statement on Thursday, the electoral commission said the petition to recall Senator Natasha did not meet constitutional requirements. “The petition for the recall of the Senator representing the Kogi Central Senatorial District has not met the requirement of Section 69(a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended),” INEC wrote on its X handle. In an updated statement, INEC cited Section 69(a) of the Constitution, which stipulates that a petition to recall a senator needs the signatures of more than one-half of the registered voters in the lawmaker’s constituency. “The total number of registered voters in the Kogi Central Senatorial District is 474,554. PRINCE CHARLES TOURED THE 'JAMES BOND' SET YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.

   Yesterday,  The Prince of Wales toured the James Bond set at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, the home of the 25th Bond film.
The Prince was shown some of the cars used in the film by Daniel Craig, who plays 007, and visited ‘M’s office with actor Ralph Fiennes and director Cary Joji Fukunaga.
HRH was able to watch a scene being filmed on screens alongside actors Naomie Harris and Lashana Lynch.
HRH also met ‏apprentices from the BFI who are working on the film. The BFI Film Academy runs 52 academies across the UK, giving young people the opportunity to learn about filmmaking. The Prince has been Patron of the BFI for 40 years and most recently visited the institute’s centre at London’s Southbank.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
