 Randall Wallace says Mel Gibson warned 'Satan's going to come after you' before writing The Resurrection of the Christ Screenwriter Randall Wallace has revealed that Mel Gibson warned him about potential spiritual challenges before the pair began writing The Resurrection of the Christ, the sequel to The Passion of the Christ. Speaking on Raymond Arroyo's Arroyo Grande podcast, Wallace said he was the one who first suggested making a film focused on the resurrection of Jesus while he and Gibson were promoting Hacksaw Ridge in 2016. “Mel didn't approach me. I approached him, actually,” Wallace said. According to Wallace, Gibson had already spent years thinking about telling the Resurrection story. He noted that the original cut of The Passion of the Christ did not include the resurrection scene that was eventually added at the end of the film after audience feedback.      Vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has paid a condolence visit to Pa Reuben Fasoranti whose daughter, Funke Olakunrin was killed. The daughter of the leader of the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, was killed while travelling on Friday, July 12.The vice president on Sunday, July 14 paid a condolence visit to the Afenifere leader at his house in Ondo state. Osinbajo also extended his condolence to Idowu Olakunrin, the widower.He prayed that God would comfort the families of the deceased. The vice president also said the federal government would deploy soldiers to highways to increase security and protect travellers.Earlier media report stats that Funke was shot on Friday, July 12. Sources said she was coming from Lagos when her vehicle was attacked by kidnappers in Ore in Ondo state. A source confirmed the tragic incident. He said the kidnappers also engage in armed robbery. The police said three vehicles were attacked by the kidnappers and that one of the passengers, Gerald Igboroka was yet to be found by the police.More photos below.
