 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. I WAS UNDER SPELL, SAYS BENUE DEACON WHO BEAT STEP-SISTER TO STUPOR

A deacon with one of the churches in Benue State, Kelvin Iorfa has blamed a “spiritual attack” for the physical assault he inflicted on a woman recently.

Recall that Iorfa was recently captured in a viral video manhandling a lady.

He was seen in the video flogging the lady said to be his younger sister with a belt. The young lady later fainted in the video.

The video sparked wide condemnation with many calling for his arrest.

Subsequently, Iorfa was apprehended by men of the Benue State Police Command.

Following his arrest, he reportedly pleaded that he was under a “spiritual attack” which rendered him unable to know what he was doing.

He claimed he was “surprised” seeing himself in the video that has gone viral, beating his younger sister.

The Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, Catherine Anene, confirmed his arrest today Tuesday morning.

She, however, said he is yet to be interrogated.

“Yes, that is true [he has been arrested]. But for the claims about what he said, I haven’t spoken with him. When I speak with him, I will get back to you,” the PPRO said.

He is very popular in Makurdi, his latest victim is his step sister  who  was telling him to stop beating his wife, luckily the wife has escaped his violence and now it is his sister. Please we need FIDA Markurdi and all human rights organisation in Makurdi to help. They say the wife and sister have been too afraid of  him to report to the authorities.  Let us not wait until another death occurs before we swing into action.
