 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision.  FG DECLARES MAY 29TH  AS PUBLIC HOLIDAY 


The Federal Government has Declared Monday, May 29th as public holiday for Presidential Inauguration.

The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, made the declaration in Abuja on behalf of the Federal Government, according to a statement by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Shuaib Belgore.

Minister Aregbesola extended his congratulations to all Nigerians on this momentous occasion, commending their unwavering faith in democracy, as demonstrated through the nationwide election that led to the inauguration of the President and his Deputy, as well as in all elections held across the country.

He urged Nigerians to continue their support and promotion of democracy by upholding the rule of law and preserving democratic institutions.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
