 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. SOMEONE MAILED A CALIFORNIA MAN A RATTLESNAKE, HE SAYS IT WAS ATTEMPTED HOMICIDE. (PHOTO).

 Someone mailed a California man a rattlesnake , he says it was attempted homicide.


60-year-old Elijah Bowles called 911 last week after picking up his mail from the post office. As Mr. Bowles drove away with a friend in the car he asked her if she would open a package marked fragile he had received.

When the friend opened the box she immediately cried out in alarm and threw the box. She exclaimed, "There's a snake in there!" 


Bowles quickly pulled over and removed the box from the car. He then found a stick and gingerly opened the box to reveal a 2 foot long Rattlesnake.  Whoever had sent the lethal package had placed cotton balls inside of the box in an attempt to keep the rattles quiet. 


Besides being marked fragile it also had a return address to a home in Palm Coast, Florida. However the package was mailed from Hayward, California. 

Animal control officers identified the snake as a Western Rattlesnake. The incident is being investigated by U.S Postal Inspection Unit as well as the San Bernadino Sheriff's office.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
