 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.  Hisbah arrests Jigawa commissioner with married woman in Kano


The Kano State Hisbah Board has confirmed the arrest and confinement of Auwal Danladi Sankara, the Commissioner of Special Duties from Jigawa State, who was found in an uncompleted building with a married woman.


Dr. Abba Sufi, the Director General of the board, has verified the apprehension of Sankara, who was found with the married woman on Friday evening.


He mentioned that the arrest was facilitated by careful tracking, following multiple complaints about his illicit activities with the married woman, which were reported by her husband’s younger brother.


He said, “Yes, it is true, we have arrested Auwal Danladi Sankara, the Jigawa Commissioner, with a married woman in an uncompleted building that belongs to him.


“Unknown to him that we were tracking him based on reports against him that we received.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
