 Unknown individuals looted palliatives at our Owerri rally – City Boy Movement An empowerment programme organised by the City Boy Movement, a support group for President Bola Tinubu, descended into disorder on Saturday when a large crowd surged forward and looted items intended for distribution to beneficiaries across Nigeria's South-East region. The event, held at Heroes Square in Owerri, marked the official launch of the Renewed Hope National Tour and the City Boy Movement South-East Youth Tour and Empowerment Programme on March 14, 2026. It aimed to provide support to young people, market traders, and vulnerable individuals from Abia, Anambra, Imo, Ebonyi, and Enugu states.  Saraki Turbaned as New Magaji of Agoro Compound


In a dignified ceremony, Alh. Muhammad Mustapha Muktar Saraki Agoro was officially turbaned as the new Magaji of Agoro Compound, Agbaji, Ilorin.


The event, held at Agbaji Mosque, was attended by prominent Islamic scholars, community leaders, and dignitaries.


 Renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Alhaji Rareem Baba Lagbaji, in his sermon, emphasized the importance of leadership, humility, and community service.


He urged the new Magaji to lead with integrity, wisdom, and compassion, citing the teachings of the Holy Qur'an and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).


The newly turbaned Magaji, Alh. Muhammad expressed gratitude to the community and promised to work tirelessly for the development and well-being of Agoro Compound.


He promised to uphold the values of justice, fairness, and unity, ensuring that Agoro Compound remains a symbol of peace and harmony.
