 The credibility of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) voters’ register has come under intense scrutiny ahead of the 2027 general elections, following revelations by INEC Chairman Professor Joash Amupitan that names of deceased persons remain on the register. Amupitan disclosed that names of voters who died as far back as 15 years ago are still listed, a situation critics say could undermine the integrity of the 2027 polls and lead to significant financial waste through the printing of excess ballot papers and other election logistics. The INEC chairman made the revelation while receiving the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Abisoye Coker-Odusote, and her management team during a courtesy visit in Abuja on Wednesday. SOUTH KOREAN MAN ARRESTED AT AIRPORT IN PERU WITH 320 TARANTULAS, 110 CENTIPEDES AND 9 BULLET ANTS STRAPPED TO HIS BODY. (PHOTOS).

 South Korean man arrested at airport in Peru with 320 tarantulas, 110 centipedes and 9 bullet ants STRAPPED TO HIS BODY !


A 28-year-old South Korean man was stopped at Jorge Chavez International Airport after security took notice of his odd appearance. His abdomen seemed "unnaturally swollen". 


Once the man was searched, security could not believe what they found. When they lifted his shirt they discovered two belts with countless packages attached containing 35 hand sized adult tarantulas and 285 juveniles. There were also centipedes and bullet ants in various containers.


Tarantulas are listed as an endangered species, making this attempt to smuggle them out of the country more serious. Officials believe the insects were taken from the Madre de Dios region of the Peruvian Amazon.


The man was arrested and the case was handed over to the Environmental Prosecutor's Office. The different creatures were all safely recovered.
