 Kwara Govt donates 150 off-road motorcycles to Nigerian Army •LGAs acquire 320 motorcycles to boost vigilantes' security operations  In a bid to further strengthen security operations and maintain peace across Kwara State, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government has donated 150 off-road motorcycles to the Nigerian Army. The motorcycles are expected to enhance troops' mobility and effectiveness, particularly in rugged terrains such as forests, where non-state actors may be hiding with intent to destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of the state. S. A: DETECTIVE ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED POLICE CELL RAPE. (PHOTO).

 A shocking incident has shaken the community, as a 40-year-old detective from Malmesbury SAPS has been arrested for allegedly raping a 41-year-old woman in a police cell.



According to the victim, the detective detained her on Christmas Day, 25 December 2024 under the pretext of a theft investigation. However, he later claimed it was a mistake. The victim alleges that the detective attempted to coerce her into consuming alcohol, and when she refused, he assaulted and raped her in the cell.


In a disturbing turn of events, the detective allegedly dropped the victim off in town after the incident. A thorough investigation has been launched, and evidence, including medical reports and the victim’s torn clothing, has been collected.



The detective is currently being held at Riebeek SAPS and is scheduled to appear in court on 30 December 2024. The community is outraged by the alleged incident, and authorities have vowed to take swift and decisive action to ensure justice is served.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
