 I’ve been receiving death threats for telling Nigerians not to criticise Tinubu – Peller Controversial streamer, Peller, has claimed that he has been receiving death threats after he urged Nigerians to stop the ongoing #30DayRants challenge on TikTok. Peller has faced significant backlash after urging Nigerians to refrain from criticising poor governance under the #30DayRants challenge. He highlighted that continued criticism could lead to a ban on the platform in Nigeria, which would affect his livelihood. During a recent livestream, Peller claimed that some persons threatened to shoot him like they shot his colleague, Oloba Salo, in the Lekki area of Lagos State last year. He said, “I have been receiving death threats. Some people threatened to shoot me like they shot Salo in Lekki Phase 1. They asked me to watch my back when going out. “What is all these? I’m not talking again. Good bye.”

FG CLEARS AIR ON NYSC MOBILIZATION FOR HND GRADUATES. (PHOTO).

The Federal Government has announced that only full-time Higher National Diploma (HND) graduates are eligible for mobilization into the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). This development marks a significant breakthrough for full-time HND graduates who were previously excluded from the NYSC program.


According to the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, the resolution was reached after a dialogue with the Director-General of NYSC. The Minister emphasized that NYSC mobilization is strictly for those who completed a full-time HND program, while part-time HND graduates remain ineligible.


To facilitate a seamless mobilization process, the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has been directed to expedite the collation of data for eligible HND graduates. A circular has been sent to all Rectors of Polytechnics, instructing them to upload the necessary graduate data onto the newly created HND admission portal.


The Minister urged all eligible full-time HND graduates to take advantage of this opportunity and proceed with their mobilization without delay.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha.
