 Somali World Cup Referee Denied Entry to United States Award-winning Somali referee, Omar Artan, has been denied entry into the United States despite holding a valid visa, according to a senior official in Somalia’s sports ministry. Artan, who is set to become the first Somali referee to officiate at the FIFA World Cup finals, was stopped at Miami International Airport and subsequently returned to Istanbul, where he had been residing. The reason for the denial was not immediately disclosed. However, Somalia is among the countries affected by a travel ban introduced by the administration of Donald Trump. Reacting to the development, Ciise Aden Abshir, a senior adviser to Somalia’s Ministry of Youth and Sports and a former national team captain, described Artan as one of Africa’s most respected referees. “Omar Artan is among Africa’s most respected referees and deserves the support of the entire football community,” Abshir told AFP on Monday.  We’ll return trafficked underage girls from Ivory Coast- Air Peace


 Dr Allen Onyema, Chairman, Air Peace Ltd., has pledged to bring back Nigerian underage girls trafficked to Ivory Coast free of charge.

In a statement by Onyema on Saturday in Lagos, he expressed concern over the recent discovery of the act by a social media activist, VeryDarkMan.

According to Onyema, the country needs collective efforts to discourage trafficking, as it is inhumane and ungodly.

“We should discourage trafficking of any kind. It is inhumane and callous. It is absolutely ungodly and a good example of man’s inhumanity to man.

“We, in Air Peace, are ready to bring our fellow citizens back home free off charge.

“Besides that, we are going to send all of them to Duchess International Hospital in Ikeja for free medical examination and treatment.”

Onyema urged the Nigerian Embassy in Cote D’Ivoire to assemble the girls and reach out to Air Peace for their return.

He also called the Federal Government to take charge of their education and reunite them with their families.
