 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  GOV YUSUF INAUGURATES 40 KANO LINE BUSES


Kano Line, the state owned transport company, operates multiple routes across twenty-four states in Nigeria and some neighbouring West African countries.


For several months, forty 18-seater buses in its fleet were out of operation due to various technical faults.


In line with the state government’s broader agenda to strengthen public infrastructure, create employment opportunities, and ease transportation challenges, the buses have now been fully refurbished and are ready to hit the road.


During a brief inauguration ceremony, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf described the initiative as part of his administration’s commitment to restoring efficiency and dignity to state-owned enterprises while generating job opportunities for youths.


He assured that his government would continue to invest in key sectors to drive sustainable development and improve the welfare of the people of the state.
