Sharon Osbourne to Split Time Between UK and U.S After Ozzy’s Death

Home now exists in two places for Sharon Osbourne.

Months after losing her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, the television personality has decided she will divide her time between the UK and the United States, keeping close to family while continuing to honor the life they built together.

Ozzy, the legendary frontman of Black Sabbath, d!ed of heart failure on July 22, just two weeks after reuniting with his bandmates for a farewell concert at Villa Park in Birmingham. It was a final bow in the city where he grew up.

He has since been laid to rest on the private grounds of Welders House in Buckinghamshire, the historic property he and Sharon purchased in 1993 before relocating to Los Angeles.

While Ozzy now rests in England, their children, Aimee, Jack and Kelly, along with their five grandchildren, are based in Los Angeles. After spending Christmas in California surrounded by family, Sharon, 72, has chosen to spend at least half the year on the West Coast, according to reports. Those close to her suggest the arrangement could eventually become permanent.

Family is at the heart of the decision. Sharon is a devoted grandmother to Jack’s daughters, Pearl, Andy Rose, Minnie Theodora and Maple Artemis, and to Kelly’s son, Sidney. Being present for everyday moments matters deeply to her.

Los Angeles also holds decades of memories. Sharon built a formidable career there, including her years on ITV’s The X Factor alongside Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.

The family’s reality series, The Osbournes, which aired from 2002 to 2005, was filmed largely at their Beverly Hills home in Hancock Park, offering fans an unfiltered look at their lives.

Even so, Ozzy never wavered about one thing. Having grown up in Aston, Birmingham, he was clear that he wanted to return to England at the end of his life.

As his health declined, the couple placed their Los Angeles property on the market for $18 million and turned their focus to adapting their UK home to meet his needs.

Renovations at Welders House included plans for a rehabilitation wing, a nurse’s flat for round the clock care, and dedicated wellness spaces such as an exercise studio and spa facilities. Privacy fencing and upgraded security were added so he could recover away from public view.

The couple had also planned a ten part reality series titled Home To Roost, chronicling their move back to Britain.

The return was delayed as Ozzy’s health worsened, but they ultimately made it back last summer, in time for his emotional final performance in Birmingham.

Now, as Sharon steps into this next chapter, her life reflects both devotion and resilience. England holds Ozzy’s memory. California holds her children and grandchildren. For Sharon, both places are home.
