 Okpoko Building Collapse: Ojukwu Condemns Illegal Structure, Orders Demolition ‎ ‎By Chukwuka Ugokwe ‎ ‎The Anambra State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Bar. Chijioke Ojukwu, has on Oct 8, described the collapse of a three-storey building under construction in Okpoko, Ogbaru Local Government Area, as unfortunate. ‎ ‎The incident, which occurred in the Anata Anaba area of the town, claimed the lives of a middle-aged woman and her 14-year-old daughter, amid allegations that warnings about the safety of the building had been ignored. ‎ ‎The victims, identified as Happiness Ugoagu and her daughter, Chikaima, were reportedly asleep in their bedroom when the building collapsed onto their residence. ‎ ‎Ojukwu, who visited the scene alongside officials of the ministry, alleged that substandard materials had been used in the construction. STRANGE BUT TRUE,''VACUUM CLEANER DISASTER''.

                           On the 9th of February 2015 in a city in South Korea,an Emergency respond were called in to rescue a woman whose robot vacuum cleaner latched onto her hair while she was taking a nap.The Changwon city fire department said workers responded to the 52 year old woman's home in Changwon after the robot vacuum cleaner latched into her hair while she was sleeping on the floor.The emergency responders were able to open the vacuum and free the woman after about 30 minutes.A fire department representative said ''This case was quite special,we had seen weird things,but this was a very weird call that we received.The woman lost about 10 strands of hair but was otherwise unharmed.The device appears to be similar to the Roomba,a circular robotic vacuum cleaner''.

A TRAIN,CRUSHED A BIKE MAN TODAY AT IJU ISHAGA LAGOS.

                The rider of the bike was identified as Yakubu Samuel,who was also a leader of a security outfit attached to CLAM church near Omole phase one Ikeja Lagos.According  eye witnesses,they said Samuel was riding a power bike,coming from Abule Egba,and Samuel ignored the Nigerian Railway Cooporation Traffic Control Officer who stopped all vehicles to pave way for a train to pass.He ran into the train and was crushed to death on the spot.Sympathizers at the scene used his mobile phone to call one of his brothers who said he was working at Apapa and he was told that his brother had an accident and needed urgent assistance.The accident happened today thursday morning at Fagba Level crossing in Iju Ishaga,Lagos.May his soul rest in peace Amen.One more picture below.                                                 ...

                           The Coordinating Minister of Finance,Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala,made these disclosure yesterday tuesday in Abuja at a forum of the Catholic CARISTAS Foundation of Nigeria under the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria.She said apart from the initial saving of N208.7 billion from the introduction of Government Integrated Financiak Management Information System {GIFMIS},the government aimed to save an additional N36 billion from blocking some loopholes after weeding out 62,893 ghost workers from the payroll system.''When we talk of corruption,we had a system that is cash based,for example when we want to pay salaries,we send money to ministry of Agriculture and say here is your money,pay your people.Here is ministry of Education,pay your people yes,that is what  we are doing.Where as,if we had an electronic platform,there will be no transfer of cash.That is what we have done now in ''GIFMIS...

                   According to Dakuku Peterside of the All Progressives Congress {APC} who had planned to address the rally in the town of Okrika said ''Five police officers were shot.One of them is dead and the remaining four are lying in a citical condition at the hospital''.Other sources said apart from the police men that were shot,a Channels TV journalist that is ment to cover the event,was stabbed.Okrika town is located in Rivers state Nigeria.
